Why Royal Navy Ships Are Set For five Years Away



Two of the Royal Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessels have left Falmouth docks for a five-year deployment to the Indo-Pacific.

HMS Tamar and HMS Spey will act because the Royal Navy’s eyes and ears, working with Britain’s allies to deal with drug-running, smuggling, terrorism and different unlawful actions.

It’s hoped that the presence of the 2 patrol vessels may enhance relationships with allies within the area.
