West Level Suspends Garrison Commander Amid Ongoing Investigation

West Level’s garrison commander, Col. Anthony Bianchi, has been suspended, the Army confirmed to Navy.com on Wednesday.

“U.S. Army Garrison West Level commander has been suspended of his duties for alleged conduct pending the result of an investigation,” an academy spokesperson stated in an emailed assertion.

It was unclear Wednesday why Bianchi was suspended or whether or not an interim commander has been appointed. Service officers with the academy didn’t reply to any questions on the specifics of the dismissal. Suspensions could be as a result of a variety of causes, starting from regulatory violations to investigations surrounding prison allegations.
