JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Be part of the Metropolis of Jacksonville because it honors our veterans and active-duty army.
The 2022 Jacksonville Veterans Day parade is a patriotic spectacle that includes grand marshals, senior army officers, active-duty and retired army, veterans teams, native highschool marching bands, ornamental floats, large balloons, JROTC items and extra!
The parade will happen on Friday, Nov. 11 at 11:01 a.m. and you’ll watch each second LIVE by going to the News4JAX+ stream on News4JAX.com or by downloading the News4JAX+ app on a streaming system.
“As a metropolis that’s enriched with army roots, we’re honored to host this annual parade to indicate our assist and gratitude for these actively serving and those that have served,” stated Mayor Lenny Curry. “We’re happy with and deeply grateful for our army members and their households.”
The parade will function Mayor Lenny Curry, Grand Marshal Main Normal Douglas Burnett of the U.S. Air Power and two of Jacksonville’s oldest veterans: Pleasure On line casino of the U.S. Navy at age 99 and Roxwell Robinson, Sr. of the U.S. Navy Reserve at age 99. As well as, the parade will embody senior army officers, energetic obligation and retired army items, veteran teams, native college teams, ornamental floats and extra.
The 2022 parade route will start in entrance of the Jacksonville Middle for the Performing Arts and proceed on Water Avenue to Unbiased Drive. The parade will proceed on Unbiased Drive to Newnan Avenue the place the parade will head north to Bay Avenue. The route continues east on Bay Avenue and concludes at Catherine Avenue (see map under).
The route has a gentle, rolling closure, and will likely be managed by JSO at every intersection. Closure might finish earlier as the top of the parade and road sweepers move. Full closures:

5:00 a.m.: Shut Essential Avenue Bridge ramp to Unbiased Drive

7:00 a.m.: Shut each eastbound lanes of Water Avenue between Lee Avenue & Jefferson Avenue

10:45 a.m.: Eastbound Bay Avenue closed from Ocean Avenue to Newnan Avenue
