Veterans Day Parade will fill Jacksonville streets to honor navy


Friday is Veterans Day and meaning a chance for residents to pay tribute to the nation’s navy, previous and current, in Jacksonville, Florida and throughout the nation.

The metropolis’s Veterans Day Parade, introduced by The Legislation Workplaces of Ron Sholes, P.A., will start in entrance of the Jacksonville Middle for the Performing Arts at 300 Water St. at 11:01 a.m.

The day and time are vital in that it celebrates the ending of World Conflict I preventing at 11 a.m., Nov. 11, 1918 (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month) — which grew to become often known as “Armistice Day.”

“As a metropolis that’s enriched with navy roots, we’re honored to host this annual parade to indicate our assist and gratitude for these actively serving and those that have served,” Mayor Lenny Curry stated. “We’re pleased with and deeply grateful for our navy members and their households.”
