Veterans Day celebrations scheduled this month within the Excessive Desert


A number of Veterans Day celebrations and occasions have been scheduled this month within the Excessive Desert to honor those that served and are lively within the U.S. navy.  

To salute veterans, the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority raised one of many largest American flags within the Victor Valley.

On a blustery Thursday morning, VVWRA officers, veterans, and native dignitaries gathered on the company’s primary plant in Victorville for the patriotic ceremony.

The flag measures 40 toes lengthy by 25 toes extensive and gives 1,000 sq. toes of pink, white, and blue glory as it’s flown atop an 80-foot tall flagpole.

“When our outdated flagpole began exhibiting indicators of damage, we wished to do one thing particular to honor the women and men who’ve served our nation,” stated VVWRA Normal Supervisor Darron Poulsen.
