Robertson, a local of Erie, Penn., enlisted within the Navy in 1988 and was commissioned in 1998. Robertson earned a Masters of Arts in nationwide safety and strategic research with a graduate certificates in management and ethics from the Naval Struggle Faculty, Masters of Arts in army research and operational artwork from American Army College, and a Bachelors of Science in enterprise administration from Outdated Dominion College.
