Joint navy aviation drills involving Belarusian and Russian forces are underway, the Belarusian protection ministry mentioned in a press launch Monday.
“Right this moment, a joint tactical flight train of the aviation items of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, that are a part of the aviation part of the regional grouping of troops, has began,” reads the assertion.
The workouts are happening on Belarusian territory and the primary purpose is to “enhance operational compatibility within the joint efficiency of fight coaching missions,” mentioned the ministry.
The workouts will contain conducting aerial reconnaissance, joint patrols alongside the border, air help for teams of troops and touchdown tactical troops, in addition to the supply of products and the evacuation of the wounded, the ministry mentioned.
“To make sure the conduct of the train, all airfields and ranges of the Air Pressure and Air Protection Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are concerned,” it added.
Earlier this month, the Belarusian Ministry of Protection introduced that Minsk and Moscow had been planning to carry joint aviation drills from January 16 to February 1.
In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin introduced that the 2 nations would proceed joint drills and different fight coaching measures, which might contain the joint group of forces of the so-called “Union State,” based on Russian state information company TASS.
