U.S., Republic of Korea, Japan Navies Conduct Trilateral Train > United States Navy > News Tales

Commander, Naval Forces Korea (CNFK) participated with Provider Strike Group (CSG) 1 aboard USS Carl Vinson within the multi-day, trilateral train that targeted on integration, interoperability, and readiness throughout a number of advanced warfare areas.

“This train sharpens our mixed abilities and deepens our relationship with our accomplice nations,” stated Rear Adm. Neil Koprowski, commander, CNFK. “Our close-knit teamwork with ROK and JMSDF is essential to the success of conducting mixed maritime operations and coaching at sea.”

The collaborative train displays shared values, by a trilateral dedication to discourage aggression, and to keep up peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

The usCarl Vinson (CVN 70), the flagship of Provider Strike Group (CSG) 1, kicked off the train Monday. The usCarl Vinson beforehand performed a trilateral maritime train with JMSDF and ROK, November 26, 2023.

CNFK is the U.S. Navy’s consultant within the Republic of Korea, it fosters enduring relationships with joint, mixed, and multinational companions and strengthens mixed maritime warfighting functionality, interoperability, and readiness.
