30 Sailors and Marines have been injured. 5 Sailors have been medically evacuated for additional care at Savannah Memorial College Medical Heart. 4 of the 5 Sailors have been launched from the hospital after remedy. One Sailor stays beneath medical care and is being assessed for additional remedy.
Sailors and Marines with minor accidents have been handled aboard Wasp and New York.
Sailors and Marines assigned to the Wasp Amphibious Prepared Group and twenty fourth Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) have been conducting a coaching train when the incident occurred.
