An infantry preventing car (IFV), also referred to as a mechanized infantry fight car (MICV), is a kind of armoured preventing car used to hold infantry into battle and supply direct-fire help. The 1990 Treaty on Standard Armed Forces in Europe defines an infantry preventing car as “an armoured fight car which is designed and outfitted primarily to move a fight infantry squad, and which is armed with an integral or natural cannon of at the very least 20 millimeters calibre and typically an antitank missile launcher”. IFVs usually serve each because the principal weapons system and because the mode of transport for a mechanized infantry unit.
