The FIM-92 Stinger is a shoulder-fired man-portable air-defense system ( or MANPADS) that operates as a surface-to-air missile with infrared homing capabilities carried by a single individual. It may be tailored to fireside from the assorted floor or air automobiles equivalent to helicopters and others. Developed in the USA, it has been adopted by the militaries of the USA and 29 different nations.
