The Joint Gentle Tactical Automobile or JLTV is a US army particularly the US Army, US Marine Corps, and US Particular Operations Command program to partially exchange the Humvee with a household of extra survivable autos with bigger payload. The event of JLTV is initiated by the Army and the Marine Corps as a successor to the Excessive Mobility Multi-Wheeled Automobile which has been in service since 1985. JLTV development began in October 2008, the place three trade groups acquired awards for the joint gentle tactical car expertise improvement part. The Army launched a request for proposal for the JLTV’s Engineering Manufacturing Growth (EMD) part in January 2012 which then awarded the EMD contracts to AM Common, Lockheed Martin Company, and Oshkosh Company in August 2012.
