FORT STEWART, Ga. — A soldier was killed early Wednesday in what the Army described solely as “an incident” involving two helicopters at an airfield in southeast Georgia.
The loss of life occurred round 2 a.m. Wednesday at Wright Army Airfield on Fort Stewart, the Army mentioned in a press release. Lt. Col. Lindsay Elder, a Fort Stewart spokesperson, mentioned two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters had been concerned, however she declined to say whether or not one or each had crashed.
Elder mentioned one soldier died. She was not conscious of any others being injured. Elder declined to launch extra data, citing an investigation by the Army.
