At 6:39 a.m. — H-Hour (the day and time an assault is scheduled to happen) D, E, and F Corporations of 2nd Ranger Battalion approached the Normandy coast in a flotilla of 12 craft.
On June 5, 2019, Rangers from 2nd Ranger Battalion, seventy fifth Ranger Regiment climbed the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc
“For us within the 2nd Ranger Battalion, this was our baptism by hearth,” stated Maj. Ross Daly, Operations Officer, “That is the place our battalion’s legacy was born. They gave all the things that day and now it’s on us.”
