(Reuters) – Russian troops that have been moved to Belarus in October to change into a part of a regional formation will conduct battalion tactical workout routines, the Russian Interfax information company reported on Monday, citing the Russian defence ministry.
“The ultimate evaluation of the fight functionality and fight readiness of the models will probably be given by the command on the closing stage of coordination – after the battalion tactical workout routines have been performed,” Interfax cited the ministry’s assertion.
It was not instantly clear when and the place in Belarus the workout routines will probably be performed.
Belarus defence ministry stated in October that 9,000 Russian troops have been shifting to the nation as a part of a “regional grouping” of forces to guard its borders.
