The Rotary Membership of Murrieta honored a World Battle II veteran and his son, a Vietnam-era veteran, plus a Marine Corps veteran who served in Afghanistan and an Air Drive retiree who’s a Junior ROTC teacher on the membership’s annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon in November.
Lots of of army veterans and their family and friends members attended the luncheon, held Nov. 7 among the many 2,022 American flags that have been displayed in Murrieta’s City Sq. Park in the course of the 14th annual Discipline of Honor.
With the theme “Who’s Your Hero?” the Rotary Membership had sought hero nominations from family and friends for particular recognition on the luncheon.
This 12 months’s honorees have been Pedro Ledesma Castillo, Peter Edward Castillo, Fabian “OJ” Sosa and Angela Valentine.
