US Particular Operations Command (USSOCOM) has positioned a $17.67 million IDIQ order with Lightforce USA for Squad-Variable Powered Scopes (S-VPS) and Precision-Variable Energy Scopes (P-VPS).
Lightforce will present each normal and long-range
variants of S-VPS and P-VPS, the DoD famous on 3 October.
It added: ‘This contract will fulfill the complete operational functionality (FOC) necessities for all U parts.’
P-VPS Customary is a military-grade model of the Nightforce ATACR 5-25×56 precision direct-view optic, whereas the long-range variant is a navy model of the ATACR 7-35×56.
P-VPS options repeatedly variable magnification starting from 3x to lower than or equal to 7x and higher than or equal to 25x steady zoom for USSOCOM.
S-VPS is a military-standard Nightforce ATACR 1-8×24. With 1X magnification and daylight-visible reticle illumination, the scope doubles as a crimson dot sight.
