Shawn Ryan

A former US Navy SEAL and CIA Contractor, Shawn Ryan is the Founder/CEO of Vigilance Elite.
Shawn enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 18 and began his journey of becoming a Navy SEAL where he served with SEAL Teams 2 and 8 deploying to multiple conflict zones and fighting in both OIF (Iraq) and OEF (Afghanistan). After leaving the US Navy and Navy Special Warfare Community, Shawn continued to serve his country as a CIA Contractor involved in US intelligence clandestine operations.

During his 14 years of combat experience as both a Navy SEAL and CIA Contractor, Shawn made over 20 deployments to combat zones in 14 different areas of operations. As the focus of this country’s fight against terrorism expanded from the anti-Al-Qaeda and Taliban Operations “Enduring Freedom” and “Iraqi Freedom” to The Islamic State (ISIS) Operation “Inherent Resolve,” Shawn left the Special Operations Community to pursue a new career and bring his skill set to the home front.

David Rutherford

David served honorably for eight years in the Naval Special Warfare community as a SEAL Student, Combat Paramedic, Operator and Instructor. He participated in thousands of high-risk training evolutions and conducted clandestine operations in South East Asia, the Middle East and South Asia. After leaving the SEAL Teams, David continued to hone his skills by serving as an International Training Expert for one of the country’s largest private security companies and for the US Government as a Security Protection Specialist. David has trained commandos and government employees around the world to push themselves past all limitations. David’s masterful ability to motivate inspires people from all walks of life to defeat the Negative Insurgency and achieve success in every environment imaginable.

Rob O’Neill – The Operator

O’Neill initially sought to become a sniper and enlist as a U.S. Marine where he had known some friends. On the day he arrived at the recruitment office, the Marine recruiter was not in. Instead, a Navy recruiter suggested that O’Neill enlist in the U.S. Navy, telling him that he could be a sniper in the U.S. Navy SEALs.

O’Neill graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training class 208. O’Neill served with SEAL Team TWO from 1997 to 2001 and SEAL Team FOUR from 2001 till 2004. In March 2004, O’Neill joined the elite Naval Special Warfare Development Group and completed numerous deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq over the next eight years.

Marcus Luttrell – Lone Survivor

Luttrell enlisted in the U.S. Navy in March 1999. After graduating from boot-camp and Hospital Corpsman A-school, he transferred to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Class 226. However, due to a fractured femur he suffered from falling off a rope, he graduated with Class 228 on April 21, 2000.After completing BUD/S, Luttrell attended Army jump school and SEAL Qualification Training (SQT). Luttrell earned his Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 5326 Combatant Swimmer (SEAL) and Naval Special Warfare Insignia on February 2, 2001 after completing SQT. He was then sent to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, for the Special Operations Combat Medic (SOCM) course. SOCM was an additional six months of advanced training in conventional and unconventional medical skills, ranging from diagnosis and treatment of many conditions to advanced emergency medicine and battlefield life support. Luttrell was deployed to Iraq with SEAL Team 5 on April 14, 2003, during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, to root out and destroy leftover Iraqi resistance and joined in the search for WMDs. Afterward, he carried out operations to eliminate or capture terrorists.
