Capt. Mark Burke relieved Capt. Brian Drechsler as commander of the Naval Particular Warfare Heart (NSWCEN). The ceremony was presided over by Rear Adm. Keith Davids, commander, Naval Particular Warfare Command (NSWCEN).
NSWCEN is an echelon III command beneath NSWC whose mission is to develop, plan, and conduct coaching of U.S. Navy naval commandos. This consists of the evaluation, choice, and coaching of SEALs and SWCCs.
A local of Pittsburg and a 1999 U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Burke accomplished Fundamental Underwater Demolition/SEAL Coaching in 2000.
