A driver that attempted to run by means of the guarded entrance of a Florida naval air station is useless.
Officers with NAS Jacksonville confirmed the incident from 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning on social media.
“A driver tried to run the Birmingham Gate at NAS Jax, sentries deployed the protecting barrier which stopped the car,” reads a put up on the station’s Twitter account. “The motive force is deceased and has no identified army affiliation. Investigators are on the scene.”
Witnesses have been requested to name NCIS at (808) 478-8353.
The gate will stay closed, officers stated, however different drivers may entry the station by means of two different gates.
