Britain’s first memorial honouring troopers who fought within the Battle of Waterloo has been unveiled on the central London station that bears its identify.
It marks the 2 hundredth anniversary of the victory over the French emperor Napoleon by forces commanded by the Duke of Wellington.
The memorial was unveiled at London’s Waterloo Station by the ninth Duke of Wellington, Charles Wellesley.
