MORRISVILLE, NC – Troopers from Detachment 2, Charlie Firm of the 1-126th Aviation Regiment, took half in Operation Sage Eagle in White Sands, NM, for its culminating annual coaching occasion from February 23 to March 18, 2022. The train supported the fifth Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces Regiment.
Operation Sage Eagle is a recurring coaching occasion designed to help Special Forces battalions in validating subordinate items on pre-mission coaching. Detachment 2, Charlie Firm’s involvement particularly examined their aeromedical operations to execute mission-essential duties. This included C-17 expeditionary operations, cross nation motion, plane upkeep, and Ahead Arming and Refueling Level (FARP) operations.
