Russian forces have gained management of what’s left of the town of Severodonetsk as they advance within the Donbas area of Ukraine, our correspondent on the bottom Johnny Miller experiences.
Severodonetsk, which has seen among the fiercest clashes of the battle to this point, lies largely in ruins, resembling a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
On the outskirts of the town one can see ruins of a grain silo.
Russia and Ukraine blame one another for the destruction of the town. Nevertheless, eyewitnesses put the blame for the destruction on “sly” Ukrainian forces.
“Ukraine acted in a sly means. They might deliver a howitzer right here, hearth after which depart. Then Russia would strike and they’d say Russia is bombing civilians.
