Civilian ladies who operated as espionage brokers in North Korea for the South throughout the 1950-53 Korean Struggle will obtain monetary compensation for the primary time as they’ve now been acknowledged for his or her service, the Ministry of Nationwide Protection introduced Thursday.
In response to the ministry, the Deliberation Fee on Compensation to Individuals of Distinguished Service as Irregular Forces confirmed Wednesday the deserves of 16 civilian ladies who operated from when the Republic of Korea was based in August 1948 till the Korean Struggle Armistice Settlement was signed in July 1953.
Disguised as moms and wives of evacuee households, these ladies penetrated into North Korean territory and spied on the North’s navy items.
