President George W. Bush signed a proclamation on June 5, 2006, designating June because the month of observance for Nationwide Caribbean American Heritage Month.


The observance honors Caribbean American individuals’s wealthy tradition and heritage and acknowledges their important contributions to america of America.


We spoke with Nicola Maye-Leith, 72nd Air Base Wing’s director of built-in prevention, about Nationwide Caribbean American Heritage Month, its significance, the contributions of Caribbean People, and cultural range.
