The Battle of Danny Boy was some of the ferocious firefights of the Iraq Battle.
Years later there was a public inquiry into claims of battle crimes by British troops – amongst them Corporal Brian Wooden of the first Battalion The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment.
The inquiry exonerated Brian and his fellow troopers whereas Phil Shiner, the solicitor who introduced the instances, was later struck off for misconduct.
We spoke to Corporal Brian Wooden forward of the discharge of the BBC drama.
