A U.S. airman has been arrested and should face expenses in reference to an assault on a base in Syria in April that left 4 American service members injured, the Air Drive confirmed Tuesday.
Ann Stefanek, a spokeswoman for the service, advised Army.com in an emailed assertion that an arrest had been made in reference to the incident, which occurred on the base referred to as Inexperienced Village.
“As a part of an ongoing investigation, on June 16, an airman was taken into custody stateside together with the assault in Inexperienced Village, Syria,” Stefanek stated. “After reviewing the data within the investigation, the airman’s commander made the choice to position him in pretrial confinement.”

Army investigators have been wanting into what occurred at Inexperienced Village, a small U.S. base in Syria simply north of the Euphrates River, after explosions hit two buildings inside the bottom partitions on April 7.
