Former Mountain Brook Mayor Terry Oden handed away Tuesday, Jan. 10 at his house in Mountain Brook. He was 85.
Born Lawrence Terry Oden, the alumnus of Woodlawn Excessive Faculty and Auburn College was a veteran of the U.S. Army Safety Company and a member of the Special Forces Membership in London, England. He was a member of the Mountain Brook Metropolis Council for 4 years and mayor of the town for 20 years.
Visitation for Mr. Oden can be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 at within the parlor of Canterbury Methodist Church. The funeral service can be at 2 p.m. within the sanctuary of the church.
Mr. Oden is survived by his spouse of 57 years, Sandra; two daughters, Christie of Birmingham and Mary Elliott (Timothy) of Ashburn, VA.; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Keaghan, and Zachary.
