The Makin Island Amphibious Prepared Group (ARG) and the thirteenth Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are collaborating within the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Coaching Indonesia 2022 with the Indonesian Navy and Marine Corps with USS Anchorage (LPD-23).

The ARG contains Makin Island and amphibious transport docks USS John P. Murtha (LPD-26) and Anchorage. Further U.S. property embody Helicopter Sea Fight Squadron (HSC) 21, P-8A Poseidon plane and personnel from U.S. seventh Fleet and CTF 72, 73, 75, 76/3, Destroyer Squadron 7, and Amphibious Squadron 7.
