‘SEAL Staff’: Clay Spenser Survived. Now What?

We’re two episodes into season 6 of “SEAL Staff,” now streaming completely on Paramount+, and issues are wanting very dodgy for Bravo Staff. Staff chief Jason Hayes is a multitude, and the Pentagon is trying to cut back particular operations because it reassesses army priorities after the tip of the Afghanistan Conflict.

The excellent news is that Clay Spenser survived his accidents from the ambush in Mali that ended season 5 and dominated the primary act of episode one of many present season. Your complete arc of episode one pointed to Clay’s dying as he struggled to beat the contaminated wounds in his shredded leg. Since nearly all viewers knew that actor Max Thieriot is taking part in the lead position within the new CBS sequence “Hearth Nation,” this appeared like an acceptable second for his character to die and exit the sequence. The ultimate scene was a shock, because it confirmed Clay in restoration after the amputation.

Episode two picks up a number of months later as Clay is again house in Virginia and dealing onerous at his rehabilitation. His fractured friendship with Sonny (AJ Buckley) is again on observe and Clay’s spouse Stella (Alona Tal) appears ready to assist him as she raises their toddler son Brian.

Anybody who’s ever watched tv is aware of that Clay’s restoration won’t proceed to go easily over the course of the season. Clay may have setbacks, get pissed off and have communication points with Stella. We’ll all simply have to look at to learn how issues get resolved.

Extra troubling is the well being of staff chief Jason Hayes (sequence star and producer David Boreanaz). After he was identified with a traumatic mind harm in season 5, he did not inform his commanding officers about his situation and has been searching for remedies outdoors the Navy‘s medical assist workers.

Jason claims that an experimental stem cell remedy helps quite a bit, and he is paying $2,000 money for every remedy so there is no document of what is going on on. He is rekindled a romance with Mandy Ellis (Jessica Paré), so her character is again on the present, at the least briefly.

This TBI stem cell remedy is an precise factor in the actual world, and whereas it is proven promising outcomes for some folks, it is a great distance from being an accepted remedy. Jason’s situation, mixed with the truth that he is mendacity to the Navy, appears to be a bomb set to go off in some unspecified time in the future this season.

On high of all this, Lisa Davis (Toni Vans) is now serving on a committee that is analyzing present army readiness and making suggestions for the longer term. There is a sturdy sense within the room that the USA has been relying an excessive amount of on tip-of-the-spear operations on the expense of basic army readiness. Lisa has the sense that a number of SEAL groups will probably be spun down on the finish of this course of, and the growing old Bravo Staff looks as if a major candidate for a shutdown.
