Viktor Shyaga is a Russian contract soldier who joined the military in March 2022, after Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. He fought towards Kyiv’s military in April and Could after which wrote about his experiences in a LiveJournal weblog. His accounts of his time in Ukraine had been delivered to gentle by a navy historian with the social media moniker ChrisO.
Mr Shyaga is especially scathing in his accounts of his battalion commander whom he accuses of being detached to casualties among the many unit.
In a single episode he relates how the battalion commander tried to encourage his males to hold out an assault.
