The Navy has recognized the sailor who was the only fatality in Wednesday’s crash of an E-2D Superior Hawkeye plane off the coast of Virginia.
Lt. Hyrum Hanlon, assigned to Airborne Command and Management Squadron (VAW) 120 out of Norfolk, Va., died when the airplane crashed close to Wallops Island and Chincoteague, Va., on Wednesday, a Navy press launch introduced Friday.
