Members of seventh Battalion The Rifles have been marching via Oxford, exercising their Freedom of the Metropolis.
120 reservists and cadets from Abingdon have been greeted by town’s mayor and cheered by crowds as they paraded.
It’s a privilege which has been given to Admiral Lord Nelson, Sir Roger Bannister and Nelson Mandela, and now it has been bestowed upon Oxford’s very personal battalion.
